Paul Jensen, the master wood craftsman, made some boards in Half Moon Bay recently and made a photo journal of process.
At MD3, our goal is simple, to provide you with a custom work of solid wood furniture handcrafted of the highest quality to withstand the tests of time. We blend traditional furniture making with modern techniques. The result is a project that looks great and feels even better.
The Process
Discover:Â The client provides visual samples to MD3 via screenshots, images, sketches etc. of what they envision their project looking like.
Design:Â Based on the discovery phase, concepts are provided digitally to the client. Then one of these concepts will be developed further in detail to determine proportion, joinery, wood grain and graphics, board footage, and overall design.
Deploy: Once the digital design is finalized and approved by the client, we move into 3D by creating a full size working mockup to determine volumes, proportions, fit, and form. Then once the mockup is approved, we’ll begin the final production your project!
